JYJ and actress Song Jihyo have been appointed as the new online ambassadors of South Korea's Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, as they aim to promote the improvement of online culture to the youth.

Considered as a Korean wave artist, JYJ has been selected due to their gaining popularity amongst the youth and students as they portray a friendly image. Meanwhile, fellow C-Jes Entertainment talent Song Jihyo was selected for the campaign due to her honest and diligent image. She was thoroughly loved by the youth through SBS's "Running Man" and MBC's historial drama "Gyebaek".

Minister Lee Junho also expressed his high expectations for JYJ and Song Jihyo by saying, “JYJ and Song Jihyo, who have been appointed as the online ambassadors, are very active in their own fields and have much interest in educational giving. They are popular among the youth and the students and so their appointment will be a great help in adding vitality to the communication between the Ministry and the youth.”

He was further quoted saying, “I give my thanks to JYJ and Song Jihyo who are participating as the online ambassadors in the form of educational giving without compensation. Their activity will be a good model for the vitality of the act of educational giving.”

The ministry is also planning to produce a song to the public with JYJ and Song Jihyo. JYJ and Song Jihyo will participate in creating the song with the lyrics selected through an online contest, with the theme "school without purposeful bullying and exclusion".

Along with that, JYJ and Song Jihyo will also try to communicate messages from the ministry's new campaign through social networking sites such as Twitter, as they relay the major policies promoted by the ministry.
