Girls' Generation, KARA, SHINee, 2NE1, and CNBLUE nominated for MTV VMAJ awards

The 2012 MTV VMAJ nominations have been officially released on the official MTV VMAJ web page. Multiple Korean idol groups have received nominations for the VMAJs this year!

Girls' Generation's self-titled album and KARA's "Super Girl" both received nominations for album of the year. Girls' Generation will also be competing in the video of the year category with their lead Japanese single, "Mr. Taxi." SHINee's "Lucifer" received a nomination for best choreography, and 2PM's "I'm Your Man" will contend for the title of best group video. In the best new artist category, both 2NE1 and CNBLUE received a nomination, with their respective tracks "I am the Best" and "In My Head."

As representatives of the Hallyu Wave, Girls' Generation, KARA, SHINee, 2NE1, and CNBLUE will be competing with international stars, including Beyonce, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, Lady Gaga, and LMFAO.

Japanese residents can simply vote by watching the video of their favorite nominee here. International voters must vote through Facebook. Simply "Like" the page, then click the red button under your artist of choice that says "投票する" to enter your vote.
