KARA, Kim Hyunjoong, CNBLUE and more in the monthly Oricon rankings for January

Earlier this week, Japan's Oricon revealed the full lists of January's sales, including various releases by k-pop groups.

In the monthly single ranking, Kim Hyunjoong takes home the top spot for a Korean artists, having sold 109,055 copies of his Japanese debut single "Kiss Kiss/Lucky Guy" and getting to a 4th place in the rankings. CNBLUE's "Where You Are" follows closely with 60,398 copies cold, on the 8th spot. A little bit further down the list, at number 13, we find 2AM's debut single "Never Let You Go ~Shinde mo hanasanai~ which sold 29,292 copies. With 14,437 units of their latest single sold, After School managed to get to the 42th spot, closing the list for Korean artists' releases in Japan.


KARA keeps getting high ranks with their latest album "Super Girl", as even months after its release, another 88,486 copies were revealed to have been sold. The girl group got to the 7th place with this ranking. Together with Girls' Generation, who also sold another 68,610 copies of their first full length album, these two Korean girl groups are reigning the top spots for Koreans in Japan.

The Boss's first full length album, "Love Letters", sold 16,136 copies in January and got to the 32nd spot, while Se7en's "Somebody Else" got to the 38th place with sales figures of 14,199.
