After releasing their debut Japanese album titled "Collection" earlier this week, 2NE1 has revealed an official remix for "Scream," the second single off of the album. The remix was produced by Japanese pop and hip-hop duo m-flo, who previously worked with 2NE1 on the track "She's So (Outta Control)."
In addition to collaborating with 2NE1, m-flo, consisting of DJ Taku and emcee VERBAL, have worked with other Korean artists in the past, including BoA and Alex of Clazziquai.
m-flo's remix of "Scream" adds layers of synth melodies cut from the original track and a slightly reworked beat, creating a catchy dance track that follows the new club-focused direction of m-flo's recent music. In addition to the musical edits showcasing DJ Taku's remixing skills, m-flo mixes in a dubstep drop and a verse by VERBAL. The album version of "Scream" is 6th on the Oricon charts this week, and m-flo released "Square One," their first album in five years, earlier this month.
