Actress Song Jihyo and singer/actor Kim Jaejoong are both working on a new film titled “Jackal Comes.” The film will be produced by Nomad Films, and representatives from their company, C-JeS Entertainment, stated that the first readings for the film will be completed soon.
The film “Jackal Comes” tells a story about a female bar singer who kidnaps a popular singer to try and murder him. The police are dispatched and go through a series of comedic events to try and stop her. The two lead actors fit their roles well and will each bring their own unique qualities to the set.
Song Jihyo is currently receiving praise for her fresh appeal on the SBS variety show, “Running Man.” This film will mark Song Jihyo’s return to the big screen, as she is coming back from a four year hiatus after the 2008 film “Frozen Flower.”
Kim Jaejoong is also getting much love for his work in several dramas and movies. He is transitioning from dramas onto bigger film projects. “Jackal Comes” will be his first time as a lead character in a full-length movie for commercial audiences. Last year, he was praised for his work in the SBS drama “Protect the Boss” and will soon be starring in another drama, “Time Slip Dr. Jin.”
“Jackal Comes” will be directed by Bae Hyunjoon, known for his past works, “Don’t Believe Your Girlfriend” and “Boys Don’t Cry.” The film will be distributed through Lotte Entertainment, and will hit theaters in September and October.
