The official website for the "Tokyo Girls Collection" fashion show has revealed that Korean singer IU will be one of five artists to perform at the event, which will take place on March 3rd. Japanese artist Nishino Kana will also perform, but the remaining three artists have not been announced. The "Tokyo Girls Collection" is Japan's most extensive fashion-related event, with tickets not only available to the media and industry insiders, but to the general public.
The show is also distinct in that attendees can purchase anything shown on the runway immediately.

IU is not the first Korean performer to attend the show; BoA, TVXQ, and T-ara have also performed at the "Tokyo Girls' Collection", and After School's Nana modeled for the show last September. Well-known Japanese and international artists such as Rihanna, Koda Kumi, M-Flo, and Puffy AmiYumi have also appeared at the event. IU's performance will likely kick off her Japanese promotions, as her first single, "Good Day", will be released on March 21st.

The 14th "Tokyo Girls Collection" will take place on March 3rd in Yokohama, and will follow a "Sherbet Garden" theme. Ticketing information (in English and Japanese) can be found at the official website.
