YJ's Kim Jaejoong successfully held his first fanmeeting in Turkey as confirmed by his management agency. Earlier today, C-Jes Entertainment revealed that Jaejoong successfully finished his first fanmeeting at Ankara's University Auditorium, Turkey which was held locally on the February 5th. Jaejoong's attendance was a special invitation from the Korea Cultural Center in Turkey which eventually received favorable responses from a number of local fans.
Meanwhile, talking about his recent visit to Turkey, Jaejoong revealed that, "I am very thankful to have been given such a warm welcome on my first visit to Turkey. Although there is the purpose of wanting to come and meet the fans in Turkey, since I am here on invitation from the Korea Culture Center in Turkey, I will do my best as a cultural ambassador, to spread awareness about our country’s culture. The next time, I hope to be able to come with the members to hold a concert here.”
On the said fan meeting, fans were revealed to have brought out red balloons while singing along to JYJ's tracks. It was also stated that the fans aired a special video clip and a surprise birthday party for Jaejoong.
Tickets for the said event were released by application by the Korea Cultural Center and were made available through a first-come, first-serve basis. It was further reported that the 600 tickets were sold out out within 30 minutes.
Aside from the fan meeting, Jaejoong also met with South Korea's President Lee Myungbak who was also in the country for a diplomatic visit. They were reported to have attended a seminar with the students of Ankara University. After which, Jaejoong also attended a state dinner held at the residence of Turkey's President.
