Girl group T-ara will finally hold an opening ceremony for their official fan club and have a large-scale concert this summer, 3 years after their debut.
T-ara debuted in 2009 with their single “Lies,” and continuously had a succession of hit songs in a span of 3 years, such as “Bo Peep Bo Peep,” “Why are You Being Like This,” “I Go Crazy Because of You,” “Roly-Poly, “Cry Cry,” “We Were in Love,” and “Lovey-Dovey.”
Kim Kwang Soo, the CEO of Core Contents Media, stated that “Around the beginning of this July, T-ara will have an opening ceremony for the official fan club they have been wishing for all this time, and they are planning to meet fans with a new album.” He continued, “Towards the end of July, they will have a large-scale concert to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of their debut.”
CEO Kim Kwang Soo, who won ‘Producer of the Year’ for “Roly Poly” at Gaon Chart’s Award Ceremony, helped propel the T-ara girls to fame with their ‘cat dance’ for “Bo Peep Bo Peep,” disco dance for “Roly Poly,” and shuffle dance for “Lovey-Dovey,” and has now started to think and worry about what kind of music and dance T-ara will use to show another image transformation.
The girls themselves stated, “We were already off to a great start for the year after we won the triple crown for ‘Lovey-Dovey,’ and now we’re going to have the official opening of our fan club and hold a large-scale concert this summer; we’re already so excited and nervous.”
T-ara finished up their promotions in Korea after they wrapped up “Lovey-Dovey,” and are currently in Japan getting ready for the release of their “Roly Poly” album as they are planning to do more promotions in Japan this year; if they were doing about 10% of their promotions in Japan last year, they plan to increase that ratio to about 30% for this year.
