Dubbed the ‘Kings of Hallyu’, the male group Super Junior recently completed a successful show in Singapore, in addition to their shows in Korea and Japan.
The members were recently in Singapore for their ‘SUPER JUNIOR WORLD TOUR SUPER SHOW 4‘ that took place at Singapore Indoor Stadium February 18th & 19th. The boys were met with an audience that did not hold back their fervent cheers, and the boys were able to wrap up a successful show.
They opened the show with “Superman” from their 5th full-length album, and performed 36 hit songs total, including “Sorry Sorry“, “Bonamana“, and “Mr. Simple“. There was reportedly a lot to see at the concert, as the boys utilized wires and even incorporated a fountain show into their performance, earning the praise of the audience.
The boys also had independent stages that displayed each of their charm and wit. Member Shindong put on dance performances to songs “Trouble Maker” and “Bubble Pop“, while member Yesung emotionally sang “One Man” to melt the hearts of his fans.
The local fans who came out to see their favorite K-pop idol not only waved their glo-sticks and sang along with the Korean songs perfectly, they even flawlessly emulated the Korean-style ‘cheers’ which only further brought up the excitement and energy at the event.
The boys’ popularity in Singapore was extremely evident. Ahead of their concert, a large crowd of fans gathered at the airport to catch a glimpse of the boys upon their arrival, and many media outlets such as Lianhe Wanbao, iWeekly, and XINMSN gathered to ask questions at the press conference held on February 19th.
