Super Junior has once again shown proof of their global popularity. In the 2011 Mashable Awards, Super Junior won in the categories of "Must-Follow Band or Musician on Social Media," "Viral Video of the Year," and "Best Mobile Game," winning a total of three categories.
The 5th edition of the Mashable Awards recognized the efforts of companies, businesses, products, and services in the four broad fields of social media, technology, business, and entertainment. Winners were selected by internet users from all over the world, and the fact that Super Junior was able to win three awards is definite proof that they are a worldwide phenomenon.
Aside from being chosen as the band to follow, the music video for Super Junior's "Mr. Simple," their title track for their third album was selected as the "Viral Video of the Year" while their iPhone application "Super Junior Shake" was awarded "Best Mobile Game."
The 2011 Mashable Awards will be held in Las Vegas on the 11th of January.
