Not only through song, Jang Geun Suk incised other achievements in Japan. In this week's Oricon chart book, Jang Geun Suk securing the top two positions, which make itself as the first male artist to have achieved this.
In the Oricon charts, photo albums Jang Geun Suk, "The Romance JPLUS Photograph Collection" and "The Romance JPLUS-Favorite Photograph Collection," sold 11,000 and 6,000 pieces. Oricon representative explained, "the top Korean actor, Jang Geun Suk, who is also very famous in Japan, swept the top categories of photo albums on the Oricon chart book this week."
Jang Geun Suk was the first male artist to achieve this record books since the Oricon chart created in April 2008. Oricon chart ranking in the book is calculated from total sales of 1.711 bookstores and online stores throughout Japan.
In addition to the two photo albums, DVD Jang Geun Suk occupy the fourth position in the DVD chart this week, having sold over 19,000 copies. This is the third time for Korean artists, since Lee Byun Hun and Kwon Sang-woo won the top five positions on the DVD chart.
