New group BB.Boys reveal debut MV for “We Will Be Okay”

New male trio BB.Boys have stepped into the spotlight with their debut MV for “We Will Be Okay“.

The BB.Boys — comprised of members Siwoo, Taehee, and Jino – are defined by their smooth harmonies and handsome looks, which are sure to quickly earn them some new fans.

For their debut work, they decided to run with a pop song that expresses a man’s undying feelings for his lover. He promises to protect her, to love only her, and that even if the world ended, she would be his one love. So close your eyes, he says, we will be okay.

JYP and SME to collaborate for ‘Dream High 2′?

SM Entertainment is rumored to have shown interest in joining KBS’s ‘Dream High 2‘, the sequel to the hottest idol drama to date.

The first season was a successful collaborative effort between actor Bae Yong Joon’s company Key East Entertainment and JYP Entertainment. Now it looks like they’ll be joined by SM Entertainment, thanks to the good relations between the company presidents.

A KBS official stated, “SM President Kim Youngmin and JYP President Jung Wook are good friends. As far as I know, they’re both very interested in collaborating to make another great music-based drama. Both companies are willing to use all their resources in order have the best outcome possible, so it would be something to look forward to.”

Lee Eungbok PD of the original ‘Dream High’ series is currently working on the second season, and plans to air it in early 2012. Due to the first season’s high popularity, everyone is excited to see who will make up the main cast for season two. Now that SM Entertainment will supposedly thrown in their hat along with the other companies, netizens are already naming SM artists like TVXQ, SNSD, Super Junior, SHINee, and f(x) as possible cast members.

A SM representative has however urged caution, “It’s true that we have had positive discussions about a co-production. But talks are still on-going and nothing has been decided as yet.”

Meanwhile, ‘Dream High’ season one will be released through DVD on September 4th. Having enjoyed much popularity in Japan, the show will also have a special event at Japan’s Saitama Super Arena Hall called the ‘Dream High Premium Event 2011.’

T-ara to wrap up “Roly-Poly” promotions this week with special stages

Girl group T-ara will be wrapping up promotional activities this week for their hit track, ‘Roly-Poly’.

T-ara’s ‘Roly-Poly’ has easily become one of the hottest songs of the summer, thanks to its unique retro sound and fun music video.

For their ‘Good Bye, Roly-Poly’ stages, the members had dressed up in winter and summer school uniforms, exercise drill uniforms, girl scout uniforms and vintage clothes - all of which drew a wild response from their adoring fans.

T-ara commented, “We’re thankful to all of our fans who loved ‘Roly-Poly’ unceasingly. It was worthwhile and happy for us to let people in their forties, fifties and sixties pull up memories from their past.”

Jang Geun Suk, Maeda Atsuko, and Oshima Yuko to appear in new CM for TBC

On August 24th, AKB48’s Maeda Atsuko, Oshima Yuko, and Korean actor Jang Geun Suk attended a product launch event for aesthetic brand TBC.

Standing in between the two girls, Jang blushed as he said, “They’re very cute. I’m quite embarrassed to be in between them. Fans of AKB48, I’m sorry.” Meanwhile, Maeda and Oshima complimented him saying, “He’s tall, and he has a nice personality, ” and “He’s friendly, and he has a very handsome appearance. It’s actually the other way around, I apologize to his fans.”

In the past, Kimura Takuya, David Beckham, Victoria Beckham, and Nakata Hidetoshi were chosen as the brand’s character. The main image billboard that will be displayed in 200 places nationwide starting August 25th was presented at the event. Lee Min Ho’s agency now confirms that he and Park Min Young are dating

It’s the quickest game of PR see-saw we’ve seen in a while, but it looks like the drama surrounding Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young’s relationship has finally come to an end. Lee Min Ho’s agency, StarHaus Entertainment, has finally confirmed on August 23rd that the two stars are dating!

Representatives from StarHaus Entertainment stated through Star News, “It seems there have been some misunderstandings.” They continued, “We were simply wary about how some media outlets were using the term ‘fervent love’ to describe their relationship.”

“Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young have known each for a while, and they were able to draw strength from each other during their long recordings for ‘City Hunter‘. It is true that these two have developed warm feelings for one another.”

F.T. Island to play in Toronto for ‘Concert for Japan’

Rock band F.T. Island are preparing to rock for a great cause, as it’s been revealed that they will be performing in Toronto on September 3rd!

Toronto will be hosting a charity event called ‘Concert For Japan‘, in which 100% of all net profits will go towards helping charities involved with helping orphans, children, elderly and homeless citizens, whose lives were affected by the 9.0 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan in March.

Since the concert stretches over two days, the acts have been divided into ‘Rock Day’ and ‘Dance/Pop Day’. F.T. Island will be playing during ‘Rock Day’ on September 3rd, and they’ll be joined by Evaline, Vas Vegas, Envy, and Atomic Tom. The show will also include a troupe of taiko drummers called Yakudo. Meanwhile, the September 4th show will feature performances from Paul Oakenfold, P4L4DIN, The Sonixx, Sam Tsui, Ricky J, and Karl Wolf.

Singer G.NA is said to be raking in the dough lately with reports of a number of “love calls” by drink, electronic, and even car companies to act as their endorsement model.

Apparently, the star received these love calls before the release of her mini-album ‘Top Girl‘ on the 23rd of this month. G.NA has already been the face of a very popular diet drink as well as for online game Maestia, proving that she attracts consumers from a wide variety of tastes. It’s being estimated that all the revenue from her endorsements amount to over $1 million.

Super Junior’s youngest member, Kyuhyun leaked out a little secret that some Super Junior members are possibly in a relationship

On the August 23rd episode of SBS’s Strong Heart‘, MC Kang Ho Dong suddenly asked the eldest Super Junior member, Kim Heechul, “How many Super Junior members came out today?”

Kim Heechul then answered, “In total, 10 members came out today“, afterwards Kang Ho Dong quickly asked, “How many are currently dating out of those 10?”

Kim Heechul was visibly tense and started looking around awkwardly at his members making the audience even more suspicious. Shortly After, Kyuhyun admitted, “From what I know for sure, less than half of the members are dating“. Even though there is still a chance that none of the members are dating since he pointed out specifically ‘less than half‘, the studio was filled with a mysterious vibe. The other cast members shouted with certainty at Super Junior, “So there are some who are dating“!

Choi Siwon and Donghae seemed the most suspicious as Siwon awkwardly looked away and Donghae started drinking his water rapidly.

Heo Young Saeng SS501’s to participate in ‘Protect the Boss’ OST

SS501’s Heo Young Saeng, who’s currently on break after promoting his solo album, “Let It Go“, will be returning with a new track for SBS’s ‘Protect the Boss‘ OST!

Heo Young Saeng commented, “I’m extremely glad to be able to participate in the OST for ‘Protect the Boss’. I truly hope that my song will fit in well with such a great drama.”

His OST track “Sad Song” was produced by composer Jun Hae Sung, who’s known for his works with ‘Secret Garden‘ and ‘The Greatest Love‘. Befitting of its title, the song will be used in sorrowful scenes between the two leads to better express the nature of their love.

The song will first be revealed in the seventh episode on August 28th, and will be released officially online on the 31st.

CNBLUE sells out 1,000 ‘Mezamashi Live’ tickets in one minute

CNBLUE seems to be selling out appearances left and right, as the group was recently revealed to have sold out tickets to ‘Mezamashi Live‘ in just under a minute!

On August 22nd, CNBLUE participated in ‘Mezamashi Live’ for the very first time in Odaiba, Tokyo. Despite being added to the line-up just two days before the event, the boys still managed to sell out 1,000 tickets in a minute. Four times the actual amount of attendees allowed showed up at the scene, however, as 4,000 fans gathered to catch the boys perform.

FNC Music explained that it was quite an exceptional case for an indie band who has yet to make their major debut.  To the cheers of fans, the boys performed “Let’s Go Crazy“, “Voice“, “One Time“, and even “Intuition” as an encore request.

CNBLUE is also preparing for their solo concert and Asia tour later next month.

Jang Geun Suk holds a traditional Korean fan meet for 100 Japanese fans

On August 22nd, ‘High Cut‘ magazine released their coverage of actor Jang Geun Suk’s special fan meet that was held at a traditional Korean-style home on the 6th.

Jang Geun Suk provided a special opportunity for 100 Japanese fans to experience traditional Korean culture at a furniture museum in Sungbook-dong, Seoul. The international event was sponsored by Audi Korea for their VIP Japanese guests and Jang Geun Suk was a specially invited guest.

The marketing director of Audi Korea explained, “While preparing this event, Audi Japan and their consumers made continuous requests for a fan meet with Jang Geun Suk. We figured that a meeting with one of the most popular Hallyu stars was the best way to teach Korean culture in addition to meeting their requests.”

Fans got to not only hang out with Jang Geun Suk, but they also got a taste of traditional kukak performances put on by the ‘Beautiful Mind‘ performance team. They reportedly cheered and clapped when introduced to traditional dances and games like arirang, gayageum, and the shibaet play.

The hour and 30 minute-long fan meet wrapped up with Jang Geun Suk commenting, “Thank you for coming all the way to Korea like this. I think it was an especially meaningful night to meet all of you in a museum like this.”

JYJ’s Jaejoong, currently starring in SBS’s “Protect the Boss”, is receiving praise from the production team with his honest, perfectionist attitude as an actor.

With “Protect the Boss” receiving great viewer ratings, Jaejoong is also receiving great reviews with his composed acting.

In particular, Jaejoong is receiving praise from the production team and senior actors. On a shoot that took place in a cafe in Gyeonggi-do, Jaejoong was seen closely reviewing his own acting in which he shot separately through a mini-camcorder.

The production team asked for his reasons in doing this, and Jaejoong replied, “When I monitor previous scenes like this, it helps me connect my emotions for the next scene”, and “So I try my best to observe my acting right after the shoot and ask the opinions of other senior actors / actresses”.

Showing his hard work ethic, after answering the question he went right back to studying the script and the video clips on the mini-camcorder.

After seeing this, a staff member in the production team commented, “It’s Jaejoong’s first time acting on a drama series of this length, but he has, in all aspects, the highest work ethic along with humility… So everyone on the staff loves him, and as the senior actors / actresses praised, he will make it big as an actor in the future” giving him the highest praise.

Co-stars "City Hunter" Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young dating?

Frequent meetings between Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young have attracted netizens’ attention, and rekindled rumors about how the two were secretly dating.

Once photos began to emerge of the two looking quite close, Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young’s agencies revealed that the two began to show interest in each other a month ago.

Super Junior’s Heechul celebrates Kim Kibum’s birthday

On August 21st, Super Junior’s Heechul celebrated fellow member Kim Kibum’s birthday and updated fans on his whereabouts.


Writing through his Twitter, Heechul said, “With Kim Kibum. We are celebrating his birthday with just the two of us. There aren’t any pretty girls. We also both hate sweet things so there’s no cake either, keke.”


Kim Kibum retweeted Heechul’s tweet, and added, “A very impressive birthday party.”

Although it may seem like a simple picture to most, the post is especially endearing to fans since Kim Kibum hasn’t participated in Super Junior’s activities for a while.

Ha Ji Won reunites with ‘What Happened in Bali’ costars on ‘Morning Wide’

On August 23rd, the cast members of SBS’s hit drama, ‘What Happened in Bali‘, will be coming together for the first time in seven years for SBS’s morning talk show, ‘Morning Wide‘.

At the recording, actress Ha Ji Won – who played the love interest of Jo In Sung and So Ji Sub in the drama — said, “When I first received the drama’s script, I couldn’t understand my character, so I had a hard time focusing on my acting. I think out of all of the characters I’ve taken on so far, she was the most unique.”

When asked to name a memorable scene, she chose the kiss scene with Jo In Sung and the line, “Not giving you my heart is my last vestige of pride.”

She explained, “The director hated kiss scenes so we had to get it right the first time no matter what. I was so nervous that I bumped teeth with Jo In Sung and almost broke them.”

Commenting on the drama’s shocking ending, she said, “At the time, we all said that we didn’t know the drama’s ending when we were interviewed about it because of our promise to the producers. We actually knew that all of us were going to die at the end right from the first filming of the drama.”

F.T. Island brings in fans from all over the world for ‘Play F.T. Island 2011 in Seoul’

On August 20th, for the first time in nearly a year, F.T. Island successfully concluded their first Korean concert ‘Play F.T. Island 2011 in Seoul‘ at the AX-Korea hall.

The concert brought in fans from not only Korea, but all over the world. Fans from Japan, China, Thailand, and even Europe and North America had flown in to catch the boys perform a slew of their hit tracks live.

F.T. Island kicked off with “Hello Hello” and went on to perform songs like “I’ll Have You“, “Until You Come“, “Bad Woman“, “Love, Love, Love“, and “Love Ache“. Fans were also in for a treat, as they performed their Japanese hit tracks, “Haruka“, “Let It Go“, and “Flower Rock“, in addition.

After the concert, the boys said, “It was our first concert in nearly a year in Korea so we prepared a lot of things. Our hearts swelled at seeing such a full audience; an empty space really couldn’t be seen. It was an exciting, fun concert, so much so that we don’t even remember how it started and how it ended.”
