Actress Park Shin Hye has confirmed that she’s a natural beauty.

On a recent broadcast of tvN‘s ‘Taxi‘, Park Shin Hye, who was a guest on the program alongside actor Yoon Si Yoon, was questioned if she had ever gone under the knife.

MC Kim Gu Ra remarked, “Celebrities are known to receive [facial] injections and other stuff, but your face has not changed at all.” Jun Hyun Moo then asked whether she received cosmetic surgery, to which the actress confidently answered, “I’ve never had it.”

Upon hearing her answer, Kim Gu Ra remarked, “Her face is like the Amazon,” causing Park Shin Hye and others to burst into laughter.

JYJ’s Yoo Chun enjoys white Christmas on the set of Missing You

JYJ’s Yoo Chun spent white Christmas on the set of MBC TV’s drama series Missing You.

On December 25, C-Jes Entertainment, Yoo Chun’s agency, released a picture of Yoo Chun watching snow on the set of the series on Christmas.

In the picture, Yoo Chun is smiling at the snow with the crew, including the director Lee Jae Dong. According to reports, the crew said, “Yoo Chun seems like a prince from a fairy tale.”

One of the crew said, “When it snowed on Christmas, all the cast and the crew stopped shooting for a while and enjoyed white Christmas. Yoo Chun enjoyed watching the snow like a little child and took a picture with a large Christmas tree. He also had a snowball fight with some of the crew.”

During the final December 24th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Come to Play‘, Super Junior‘s Yesung featured as a guest and brought on laughter with embarrassing stories concerning his popularity.

Yesung opened up how people tend to not recognize him sharing, “One day, my name and photo were widely posted on a newspaper. With a joyful heart, I told my father. News of Girls’ Generation’s comeback raises SM Entertainment stock value by $93 million USD

Even before officially making their return, Girls’ Generation is already having a huge impact. News of their upcoming comeback has helped raise the stock value of SM Entertainment by 100 billion KRW (approximately $93 million USD).

SM Entertainment had suffered a recent fall of 4.19% percent in their shares as of December 20th. However, on December 21st, Girls’ Generation’s “Dancing Queen” was released. They also announced their return to television and music programs in January, making this their first album in a year, since ‘The Boys‘.

Within two days of the announcement of their comeback, SM Entertainment’s shares shot up immediately and SM Entertainment’s market capitalization was increased by 100 billion KRW. This rise has brought SM Entertainment back as a competitor with major entertainment companies with a lot of trade volume such as YG Entertainment, as well as Loen Entertainment.

IU, miss A‘s Suzy, and actor Jung Kyeo Woon have been confirmed to be the hosts of the ‘2012 SBS Gayo Daejun‘.

On December 26th, PD Park Sung Min, who’s in charge of directing the award ceremony, revealed to No Cut News, “IU, Suzy, and Jung Kyeo Woon have been chosen to host the ‘Gayo Daejun’.”

On the reason for the selection, the PD explained, “IU has been recognized for her stable emceeing skills as she served as the MC for ‘Inkigayo‘, while Suzy has appeared on numerous variety programs. Jung Kyeo Woon has been selected to give the award ceremony a new feeling. The producers are also satisfied with this combination.”

The ’2012 SBS Gayo Daejun’ will take place live on December 29th at 8:45PM KST.

SS501 Kim Hyun Joong shows off his good manners in Japan

Kim Hyun Joong recently attracted a lot of attention in Japan with his good manners.

From December 21 to 23, Kim held an autograph session in five cities in Japan, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka, and had a good time with his fans.

Kim held the autograph sessions in order to say thank you to his fans for enthusiastically responding to Unlimited, his first album recently released in Japan.

JYJ group member Kim Jaejoong will release his first solo mini-album on Jan 17 and will hold a special birthday concert.

C-jes entertainment official on the 26th said, “Kim Jaejoong’s first solo album was decided to be released on Jan 17. Both days, on Jan 26 and 27, he is scheduled to hold a special concert to celebrate the album launch and to commemorate his birthday. It’s a new attempt to have a concert and fanmeeting together in harmony.

Genre of Kim Jaejoong’s solo mini-album is rock, and he took part in the production, including writing all the lyrics of the songs.

The concert, consists of 3 parts, will be held on Jan 26 and 27 at KINTEX Ilsan. The show title “Your, My, and Mine” coincides with his birthday (Jan. 26) and it will focus on his life story via stage performances. It is also a way to say a very sincere thank you to the fans.

The singer will be releasing a new digital single on Christmas Eve titled “Thank U For“. What better way to spend the day before Christmas than to listen to Junsu’s beautiful voice!

JYJ’s Yoochun promises to buy crabs for ‘I Miss You’ staff if viewer ratings surpass 20%

JYJ‘s Yoochun made a delicious promise at the press conference for MBC‘s ’I Miss You‘ on December 17th.

He made a public announcement that if the series raked in over 20% in viewer ratings, he’ll be treating the staff and cast of the Wednesday-Thursday drama with crabs from the province of Youngduk.

Yoochun stated, “If the ratings go over 20%, I’ll buy Youngduk crabs for everyone.” He explained, “When the drama ends, it’ll be crab season. I want to eat one that’s really big. It’s not really a promise, but it’s more something I want for myself.”

He also added that he would donate tangerines and rice to people in need under ‘I Miss You’s name if the drama does well.

Actress Park Shin Hye revealed she had a kiss scene with actor Jang Geun Suk immediately after they met for the first time.

On the December 18th episode of SBS‘s ‘Strong Heart‘, Park Shin Hye shared a story behind a commercial shoot she filmed with Jang Geun Suk.

“It was when we were filming for a cosmetic CF,” the actress began. “It was a lipstick commercial (for Etude) and I was partnered up with Jang Geun Suk. I remember it was the first time that we met. After we said hello to each other, we immediately had to film a kiss scene while hanging on a wire.”

Boy band CNBLUE has announced that they will be making their long-awaited return to the Korean music scene with a new release on January 14th.

With the members having focused on individual activities, acting, and Japanese promotions for the majority of 2012, a Korean comeback is welcome news to their fans, who had long been pining for the band to get back together.

2PM to make a comeback in early 2013

2PM has announced that they’ll be making a comeback as early as January next year!

JYP Entertainment stated, “2PM is currently working under the schedule of making a comeback early next year. We can’t give any details on the exact timing yet but it will be in the beginning of the year.”

This will mark their first comeback in a year six months since their ‘Hands Up‘ release in June of 2011. Since then, the boys have been focusing on international activities while hinting at a comeback in September or October of this year.

Their achievements in Japan seem to have set plans back a bit, as they’ve been named the hottest K-Pop star by many insiders in the Hallyu industry. Their November 14th single release in Japan hit 130,000 sales in its first week.

Lee Seung Gi and Suzy’s ‘Guga Medical Book’ drama to air in April through MBC

Having confirmed their casting back in October, Lee Seung Gi and miss A‘s Suzy will be gearing up for the smallscreen next year with their new historical drama, ‘Guga Medical Book‘.

According to broadcast officials, ‘Guga Medical Book’ was recently picked up by MBC for their Monday/Tuesday time slot as a follow-up to ‘The Horse Doctor‘. The drama will begin airing earlier than expected in April of 2013.

As described previously, the drama is the co-production of PD Shin Woo Chul of ‘Secret Garden‘ and ‘Gentlemen’s Class‘ and writer Kang Eun Kyung of ‘Baker King Kim Tak Gu‘.

The drama will mark Lee Seung Gi and Suzy’s first historical drama of the fantasy/fusion genre telling the tale of a male Gumiho or nine-tailed fox.

TVXQ’s ‘Catch Me’ maintains position at the top of music charts in Thailand and Taiwan

TVXQ‘s ‘Catch Me‘ is spreading in popularity all over Asia!

On December 13th, SM Entertainment representatives revealed, “TVXQ’s new album title track ‘Catch Me’ was ranked in first place for six consecutive weeks on Thailand’s Channel V starting from October 29th to December 9th. Moreover, the song has maintained its position at first for three consecutive weeks on the True Music Channel for the time period of November 17th through December 7th.”

Kim Hyun Joong reveals year-end plans

At the recent release event for his first Japanese album ‘Unlimited‘, Kim Hyun Joong announced his plans for his upcoming Japanese and worldwide tours as well as other events in his year-end schedule.

Kim Hyun Joong stated, “In the beginning of next year, I’ll be starting my tour in Japan, and at the end of the year, I have my worldwide tour and the release of a Japanese single planned.”

Kim Hyun Joong topped the Oricon Daily Album Chart while SHINee & U-KISS placed 2nd and 3rd respectively on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart.

Kim Hyun Joong released his first full length Japanese album ‘unlimited‘ on December 12th and after first day sales, the album sold 56,473 units which was good enough to top the Oricon Daily Album Chart.

SHINee and U-KISS both released their latest Japanese singles on December 12th as well. After first day sales, SHINee’s “For 1000 years, always be by my side…” placed 2nd with sales of 22,954 units while U-KISS’ “Distance…” placed 3rd with 22,033 sales.

CNBLUE to show off their masculine charms on the ‘Go Show’

All of the members of CNBLUE will be making a guest appearance on SBS‘s ‘Go Show‘.

The four recently recorded a ‘Scent of Masculinity’ themed discussion on the show that pulled off without a hitch thanks to their natural variety talents and masculine charms. Yonghwa did some voice imitations of stars fans have never heard before like Kim Sang Joong in addition to his usual repertoire of Park Young Kyu, Park Myung Soo, and Simon D.

The members were also asked to audition to be awarded the title of most masculine member where they took part in various contests like wrestling and coin flipping. The ‘Go Show’ episode will broadcast on December 14th.

Hyun Bin discharged from military + sheds tears as he discusses acting

Although today may seem like an average day to many, it is a special day to fans across the world and actor Hyun Bin, for he has returned after finishing his military service!

Hyun Bin was officially discharged today, December 6th, and held a simple, brief event to address the thousands of fans who had gathered to witness his return back to society.

The actor, who had been serving in the Marine Corps, greeted his fans with a booming voice and discussed some of his thoughts on returning to his life and career.

“Thank you to all the media and fans who have made it here despite the snow and difficult conditions,” he started off.

“I promised to greet you again after 21 months as a hardened soldier, and I think I have been able to keep that promise while serving in the Marines. I think I am now able to greet you as a more solid and confident person,” he continued.

“Having received so much encouragement and interest from everyone before enlisting, I started my life as a soldier with a happy heart, and due to the consistent support and energy that you have all sent me even after enlisting, I think I am able to now stand here alright and healthy.”

Tears then began to form in the actor’s eyes as he thought about returning to acting once more. “I wanted to act so badly,” he admitted before the silence that followed due to his tears.

“Since I couldn’t act during my vacations, I’d go to places where hoobaes were acting and would watch them and think about it… But now, the time has come for me to be able to act again, and as much as everyone has waited for me, I want to work hard in preparing to show you the acting I’ve wanted to do. I have stored all the energy that I’ve received as a soldier, so I will return energy back to everyone,” he concluded.

Hyun Bin enlisted back on March 7th of 2011, and after 21 months of serving in the Marines rather than in the promotional division of the army like most celebrities, the actor has made his return and will be spending his time with his family for the time being.

TVXQ's Yunho confirmed for the drama "Yawang"

TVXQ's Yunho has been included in the official cast line-up for upcoming drama series, "Queen of Amibition (Yawang)." SM Entertainment confirmed the news that Yunho will be acting in the drama series, joining Kwon Sangwoo and Soo Ae in the production.

Yunho will play the role of an ice hockey player and will be in a relationship with Soo Ae's role. It was also revealed that he has been selected for the role as his looks and charming demeanour matches the role perfectly.

"Queen of Ambition (Yawang)" is a drama series which will revolve on the story about an ambitious woman who ends up as a first lady despite coming from a poor background. It will also portray the story of a man who gives up everything he has for a woman.

The drama is scheduled to air after "The King of Dramas" and is set to commence filming shortly.

JYJ’s Junsu is Building a Resort on Jeju Island

It has been reported that JYJ‘s Junsu is building a family resort in the lovely island of Jeju.

On December 5, tvN‘s eNEWS aired a segment on celebrities who give businesses to their families as gifts. Many stars usually gift their families with coffee shops or restaurants. However, Junsu’s gift stood out because it was a resort.

C-JeS Entertainment previously revealed that the resort is run by Junsu’s father. With the costs of buying the land, the construction and everything else, the amount that Junsu spent is estimated to be around 15 billion won (about 15 million USD).

Local residents are responding favorably to this resort. They said, “This area is beautiful but we don’t really get a lot of tourists,” and “Since Kim Junsu is a Hallyu star and has much fame, we are expecting to see an increase of tourists. We hope that this area will become a mecca of Hallyu.”

Kim Hyun Joong releases the lead track of his first Japanese album

Kim Hyun Joong’s first Japanese album is already attracting a lot of attention.

Before releasing his first Japanese album, Unlimited, on December 12, Kim released “Your Story,” the lead track of the album, on such major music sites in Japan as iTunes, Music.jp, and Recochoku.

Playing band music in this album, Kim showed off a charismatic look with his powerful voice and guitar playing in a 45-second teaser video of “Your Story,” which was released on November 28.

According to reports, modern rock band Daybreak’s bassist Kim Seon Il participated in the song, playing instruments and arranging it. Other Daybreak members also played guitar, bass, and keyboard for the song.

A spokesperson for Kim says, “Kim Hyun Joong has been acknowledged as a talented musician who does high-quality music since the single, Heat, succeeded in Japan in July. It attracted a lot of attention with the fact that it was created in collaboration with the popular Japanese musician B’z. People in the music industry are guessing that ‘Your Story,’ which was released in December 5, will also become a hit.”

Indeed, when a ringtone of “Your Story” was released along with the teaser video of the song on November 28, it ranked first on the Recochoku Chart and the Dwango K-pop Chart.

Unlimited, Kim’s first album to be released in Japan, contains a total of fourteen songs, including such new songs as “Your Story,” “Save Today” and “I’m Yours,” and other hit songs of Kim’s. It will be released on December 12.
