After being on hiatus for nearly a year, "Music Kings" Super Junior released their 6th studio album, "Sexy, Free & Single," which has been reported to have sold over 330,000 copies.
Gaon Chart recently revealed the monthly album ranking for July, which revealed Super Junior's album sold 335,744 copies, taking the #1 chart. Super Junior member Kangin participated in this latest album, his first appearance with the group in three years since 2009.
Last year, Super Junior sold over 500,000 copies of their 5th album, "Mr. Simple" (sales combined with repackaged album).
Following in 2nd is BEAST with "Midnight Sun," which sold 67,835 copies. 2PM's Wooyoung placed in 3rd with his first solo album, "23, Male, Single," selling 52,618 copies.
T-ara ranks as the highest selling girl group for July with their mini-album "Day By Day" selling 34,181 copies to take 4th place. After a two-year hiatus, PSY returned with "6甲 Part 1," selling 32,309 copies. Also returning after 2 years, BoA was recorded to have sold 28,576 copies of her 7th studio album, "Only One," ranking in 6th place.
For the July-monthly Download Music Chart, 2NE1 tops the chart with "I Love You," recording 1,522,263 downloads, taking the title as "Music Queens."
